FAQs

What’s the best way to use your candles?

Before lighting your candle, make sure that it is on a stable, nonflammable surface.

Position the candle away from children, pets, clumsy people, and flammable materials. Examples of flammable materials include, but are not limited to, curtains, blankets, isolation gowns, and oxygen tanks.

Trim the wick to a quarter inch before lighting.

Do not burn the candle for more than four hours at a time and do not burn the wax past the last half inch of wax in the container.

Do not burn the candle unattended.

It’s best to let the candle burn for at least an hour on the first burn, this allows the pool of wax to reach closer to the edges of the container.

What are your candles made out of?

We use a local, eco-friendly supplier for our waxes and wicks.

Our wax is a paraffin-free blend of natural coconut and soy waxes.

We source fragrance oils from a variety of suppliers to create our own unique blends.

Our wicks are made of braided cotton with a small amount of paper woven in for the perfect burn.

Why candles?

You know the type of person who smells every single candle and soap in a store? That’s us! Making our own was a natural transition. We hope you enjoy them, too.

My candle looks bumpy or pitted after I burned it, what’s going on?

Changes in texture are normal for plant waxes like soy and coconut wax. This is nothing to worry about and will not affect the performance of your candle.
